What you need :-

DK (light worsted weight) yarn

4mm knitting needles

Sewing needle
Scissors
Tape measure

Size :-

4mm.      New born
4.5mm    3 - 6 months
5.00mm  6 - 9 months

Method :-

Cast on 60

K1 , P1  continue pattern until it (measures 6" or 15cm)
Starting with K1 and ending with P1

Decrease :-

P2 tog = 30  stitches on your needle
P2 tog = 15  stitches on your needle
P2 tog = 8    stitches on your needle

Take enough yarn to sew the side, weave needle through remaining stitches, weave again to secure the knot.
Sew the side up, weave all loose ends, add small pom, pom to the top.

50g DK (light worsted weight) yarn
3.5 mm knitting needles
Sewing needle
Scissors
Tape measure
Stitch marker (optional)

Size :

3.5 mm.  0-3 months
4.mm.     3-6 months
4.5 mm.  6-9 months

Make Two :

Cast on 20
Row       1-10   K1, p1
Continue pattern for 18 rows (4 Inches)
Row 1. K3, P2 tog repeat from * to end of row.
Row 2. Knit all
Row 3. K2 , P2 tog repeat from *to end of row.
Row 4. Knit all
Row 5. K1 , P2 tog repeat from *to end of row.
Row 6. Knit all
Row 7. K2 repeat from*to end of row.

Cut yarn leaving a long tail,  attach a sewing needle and weave through the last stitches to fasten shut.
Turn your mitten inside and sew up the seam,  weave in the loose ends.
