0-3 Months Knitted Booties/Socks | Beginners


What you'll need

50g DK (light worsted weight) yarn
4mm knitting needles
4mm crochet hook
Sewing needle
Scissor


Size
4mm 0-3 months
4.5mm 3-6 months
5mm 6-9 months


Method

Make Two

Cast on 40
Rows 1-6  Garter stitch
Rows 7  K14, P2tog, K8, P2tog, Turn your work around
Rows 8-12  K9, P2tog, Turn your work around
Row 13  K9, P2tog, Knit to the end of the row (28)
Rows 14-23  K2, P2
Rows 24-27 Garter stitch
Cast off and sew the seam.

How To Crochet A 6 Petal Flower

What you will need: 

4mm crochet hook
2x 50g DK (light worsted weight) yarn
Scissors


Foundation Row Magic ring - chain 1 and then 6 single crochet into the centre, slip stitch with new yarn, cut previous yarn,
Petal 1 Chain 6, In the 2nd from hook, working in just the top loop, do 1 single crochet, in the following 5 sts work 1 double crochet, 1 treble crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 single crochet.  Slip stitch to join where new colour was added.You will now work on the other side of your ch 6, slip into the first ch, In the following stitches, you'll work 1 single crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 treble crochet, 1 double crochet and at the very top 1 single crochet.  Slip st down all the sts on the left of the petal. When you get to the bottom you will slip st into the next st along.

Repeat Petal 1 until you have 6 petals in all. When you have finished all 6 slip st in the base of your first Ch 6


Cut and pull on yarn to fasten.

How-To Crochet A 10 Petal Flower


What you will need:

4.00mm crochet hook
2 x 50g DK (light worsted weight)  yarn
Scissor


Foundation Row Magic ring - chain 1 and then 10 double crochet into the ring. Slip into the first st with your new colour and cut yarn
Row 1  Chain 6. Miss the first stitch, single crochet into the next st, *Ch6, single crochet into the next st.  Repeat from* around.  Slip stitch to where you joined in your new yarn.  

Cut yarn and fasten off. Lightly pull the strands at the back if you feel the centre is opening, this should secure it. You can tie the strands at the back to stop it from opening  further. The tails can also be used to attach the flower to other items such as bags and hats etc...
